    Default Where is the clutch switch?

    Ive been having more problems with my CC;

    When it does work, depressing the clutch doesn't disengage the cruise control.
    Now the cruise control just won't work.

    I've ordered a new clutch switch (55701396) however when i went to find the old one there doesnt appear to be one anywhere to the eye.

    Could anyone tell me where the clutch switch is? I can't even see any wiring to the clutch to be honest.

    Furthermore i wanted to check the brake switch, but couldn't remove it, how do they come free?

    I have heard that the "clutch return spring breaks" rather than the switch itself is a cause for Cruise Control not working. Try search on this item.

    Haynes "Book of Lies" suggests the switch is on the pedal mounting bracket. That is about all it says!

    Cheers mate - i have added the clutch spring upgrade as that was also at fault in my car, but since then my cruise control has only worked intermittently and now it just won't come on, i've decided to try and clean/replace the switches before trying a new contol stalk.

    furthermore i think its the clutch switch as the CC wouldn't disengage when the clutch was depressed and the car would rev out to redline.
