2.2 DTi air filters

Evening all.

What kind of effect do the aftermarket air filters have on the 2.2 DTi? I've got a standard Halfords panel filter in at the moment. If they respond well I'll change to a decent aftermarket one.

K&N and Pipercross do panel filters for the 2.2 DTi I think.

I've read on here that sports panel filters like K&N etc hardly have any effect on the diesels compared to the standard factory ones. You may be lucky to get an extra 1-2bhp. They seem to have more effect on petrol models.
