    Default Car supermarket deals

Just been doing a bit of window shopping and there are some pretty good deals around at the moment on nearly new Vectras and Signums if anybody's interested.

    Some examples:

    55 plate 1.9 CDTi (150) SRi, 7000miles, £9999
    06 plate 1.8VVT Sri Estate, 3000miles, £11499
    55 plate 2.8T V6 Elite (Auto), 4000miles, £13699

Prices start from £7500 for an 05 plate Vectra and £9500 for an 05 plate Signum.

Trade sales wont let you test drive the car, MP I'm not sure how they opp, but beware 10k for something that might not go down the road in a straight line is scarey.

A very low mileage car at a site like this may well be a customer reject with loads of problems that has been unloaded in an auction.

While it's true you can't test drive the cars you are free to examine them in minute detail. You are buying from a dealer remember. If the car's not right you can just take it back. It has to be fit for purpose. All of the cars are nearly new so you've also got the balance of the manufacturers warranty.

How is it different to buying a brand new car? The car you test drive isn't the one you get.

Highly unlikely I would have thought. The stock is either brand new or ex-fleet. It's not like they have people trawling auctions for stock. They'll buy in bulk from lease companies and/or manufacturers direct.

I bought my own Vectra from Trade Sales. I phoned up about the car at 5.00pm one day. Arrived to see it the next at around 12:30pm (it was already prepared and set aside for me to look over). Drove it away at around 1:30pm. Ended up with a 6 month old 1.9CDTi (150) Estate with factory alloys and less than 10000miles on the clock for £9999. I've no link with the company but I would certainly use them again.

Companies like Trade-sales and Motorpoint simply wouldn't survive (or be as big as they are) if they were in the business of off-loading junk.

must admit motor point , and indeed trade sales are cheap as chips, although arnold clarks are pretty cheap also ,just a shame their standard of service is diabolical!
