    Default had a fun night/day

well ive had zero sleep last night due to the fact that i cant sleep when my wife goes out drinking up town until she gets in and i know she is safe!!! now normally when this happens she is in fairly early and all is well, however last night it got to 3 o clock and i started to get worried when i get a phone call off her telling me shes been in a car accident She was about 2 miles from home when the taxi she was travelling in was involved in a quite severe bump the other car involved lost control hit a wall and bouced off it into the path of the taxi!! the front end was gone and she was luckily in the back but was trapped so had to kick the back door of the vectra so she could get out!! there were 5 people including the driver in the car and 4 of them went to hospital apart from my wife who stupidly came home saying she was ok!!!

So after hearing her cry for 2 hours i took her to a and e to wait for 5 hours and then to be told she has severe bruising on her head, legs and arms and she also has broken ribs hopefully they will heal before xmas and she now has me waiting on her whilst she lies on the setee!!!

My mother in law is a legal secretary and we are going to claim but im not sure as we can as the driver of the other car wasnt drunk and wasnt speeding apparently and the police reckon it was black ice that made him lose control so no one is at fault are they? if not who would she claim against???

She can indeed claim - makes no difference that no one broke the law by doing a DUI etc.

A paramedic nor first response medic would never ever allow anyone to leave the scene of an accident without having been thoroughly checked over and I can't believe the police would allow this either... regardless of whether she claimed she was ok or not... when I smashed my last car into a railway bridge last year (I was not injured in any way except my pride) the medical guy on the scene made me sign a medical examination form to say that I did not want to go to hospital nor require any medical treatment... this was to cover him in case I later fell ill... so my question is... was she examined at the scene...??
