Intermittent Bulb Failure Warning - Nearside Front Indicator (Problem Solved!)

Hi All,

I've been having an issue with intermittent bulb failure warnings on my Vec C for a while now, been loathed to drop the front bumper to look at the nearside indicator but finally bit the bullet today.

I removed the bulb holder for the indicator to find that there was a hole in one of the contacts, I can only think that it has been arcing due to a poor contact and has eventually burnt through the metal - anyhoo, a quick dab of solder and problem solved (upon removal the driver's side showed evidence of a similar repair).

Hopefully this may be of use to anyone who finds that they have a similar issue!

Ah thats got me thinking, i have a similar problem with my rear brakelight yet its been working the whole time despite giving me warnings.

I've had this problem before mate. It turned out the filament in the bulb was loose at one end so sometimes it worked and others it didn't.
