Just been quoted £95 per tyre (fitted) for pirelii p6000 255/45/18... is this a good price? & more importantly is it a good tyre?

The wifes Punto 1.2 is on P6000's.
The fronts wore out after 14.000 miles and it even manages to break traction far too easily - it's only a 1.2 8 valve on 15" wheels!
Getting rid in favour of F1's very soon.
seems a good price but are you sure the size is right? i have 18"s and they are 225/45/18
oops i did mean 225/45'sOriginally Posted by Graeme
breaking traction dont like the sound of that......i think might get a price on toyo proxes T1R's... i've just been doing some reading up on them and they seem to be a good all round tyre.
I have T1Rs on the 888 mate and
Pirellis arn't bad, good tyre for that money IMO.
Where was that price?
c&s tyres grange road, m'bro (near bus station) ... if the t1r's arnt much more expensive i'll be getting those.
Will pop over there when I am due. Thanks mate.
I'm really not a fan of P6000's... don't find they hold well on wet corners. Guess a lot of it comes down to the car's capability but I had them on two cars and lost it in both far to easily...
Try Yokahama S380's.
I have covered 13000 miles on them so far and expect to get another 5k out of them.
They grip like s**t to the proverbial blanket, perform really well in the wet and aren't any noisier than other tyres I've used.
Just my 2p worth.
