    Default main beams not working?

    hello all - my 04 sri estate has a problem ! the main beam lights are not working i have changed the bulbs, checked the fuses and all seems well, however they will not work! the side lights, front fogs etc work as well as high beam but not main beam help please?

    i will check the switch in the morning - where is the relay???

    Looks like they are in the fuse box under the bonnet. That's where the headlight fuses are I think.

    thanks ive looked under the bonnet and all fuses are ok there are 5 relays in there but goodness knows which one is for main beams, how do i test relay??

    I am not sure without looking in the manual, I found a pic of the fusebox mate. Hopefully somebody can point out the exact relay which controls the main beam

    In the meantime, does the stalk still make the noise when pressed and does the blue light come on the dash?

    According to Haynes it Engine Fusebox,fuse no F8 10 amp.

    its the dipped beam i think he means, as he said high beam is ok, you need to get a test light mate and actualy check the fuses as ivd found not all cars are as per diagram

    Yes, I think you're right. Main beam to me has always meant the same as high beam.
