    Default Rear Suspension movement?

Hi, Just been doing some work on the rear brakes of my 04 Vectra 1.9cdti estate, while the wheels were jacked up I thought I would check the bearings by holding the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock and trying to move it - the top edge of both rear wheels have quite a bit of movement at the top but nothing at the bottom and no play when I hold it at the 3 and 9 o'clock position - thought it may be the bearings but not so sure now - any ideas please, Thanks

Check it again with the car on the ground, and look for movement at the top of the tyre, not at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock. If you find such a movement, then it's highly likely that the bushes in the upper control arm are worn. The upper control arm is the banana shaped bar that hold the top of the hub to the chassis.

Thanks Jezzy - can the bushes be replaced or does the whole arm need to be changed?
