Radio Problem

after fitting (self) new flywheel& Clutch, because I had to take bat out the dam radio is now asking for code (which I dont have no booklets whatsoever) anybody on here can get code for me from vin or lic number?,object to having to pay vauxhall £24 for it as the coulnt even help out on torque settings I asked for, dont know if anybody else has had the same prob with them but the just point blank object to helping with any info unless they are going to do the job or service, I know I bought my car second hand ,but I would never buy a new one from them as there coustomer service stinks(unless like I said they are getting a load of money offa you)

Over the phone.I explained my situation and they asked for details of car in exchange for code..Pentagon,Derby.

seems they can only do it if car bought from there , otherwise they are even more expensive to get codes from quoted £30! to get them
not havin much luck with this

I know its a long shot but have you taken the radio out to see if the code is written on it? This was the case with my sisters astra.
Also it's worth contacting the previous owner(s) to see if they still have the CarPass.

gonna take it out as you said, see if anythings on it, if not do have a code breaker prog,just hope the radios listed, other owner aint got a thing lost service history log book the lot, would'nt have touched it other than the fact i know him and the fact he,s had the car for some time,but he just moved house and misplaced the lot apart from mot in glove box
I'll get there in the end (i hope)

i had similar problem here in ireland: opel dealer wanted to charge me over 50 quid for code. but then rang a guy in a small garage and he maintained if i rang the dealer that the car was originally purchased from that they would give me the code free of charge. and to my amazment they did!
