    Default tyre fitment

i have standard pre face sri alloys running 215-50-17 and they are all needing replacement. i've made enquiries into the cost of new tyres and there ****** expensive to replace the hancooks that are on there now. the cheapest quote i've had for other brands are on nexen 3000 tyres. do anyone know what these are like also if i can change the tyre width to get cheaper tyres and how they would effect the speedo

Change to 225/45/17 - more choice and thus cheaper. You'll hardly notice any speedo difference. It'll read ever so slightly more than it does with 215/50/17 tyres. Better that than under-reading.

If you plug the info into a tyre calculator (eg ) you'll see how much it's affected.
