Sounds like you are going on the right sort of party. Don,t get too much of a hangover though.
Our place................... Nothing, they don,t do a thing for us.
Had ours on friday, took the missus and its normally me that gets too drunk or gets in a bit of bother with bouncers or police...
She was the one that ended up getting done for drunk and disorderly - and she's an ex cop. the shame lol

out for one with the department tonight (glad I have tomorrow off!), then the official one is next Thursday (definitely glad I have the Friday off after that one as well!!) - except we have to pay for the ticket and get a buffet - oh, and a champagne cocktail on arrival!!

Company has one every year but I've not been to a single one of them in ten years with the company. I don't socialise with people at work outside of work, none of them are "friends" and I never see them out of work, so have no desire to spend my own personal time with them.

I work for an airline and never with the same person twice... The party is with whoever I happen to be with at the time, the chances of me knowing them are slim, the chances of being with proper friends are non-existant!
Oddly, we get very used to it and will be acting like the best of friends within 2 minutes of being in the bar!
Not at all, I have a great Xmas, I just choose to spend it with friends and family and not people I work with.
