    Default Battery!!!!

My car is 05 and still has original battery, so guess its about time but when the car is flat and it wont start, the green dot still shows through the little clear circle, and the car will jump start fine, does the green dot indicate dead battery? Also would any1 buy a battery from a scrappers? Or can anyone from leeds/bradford area recommend a cheap battery/shop to get it? Thanks lads

Mine showed green and was still goosed. I bought the largest rated one for a Vectra (one of the V6's) and cost me around 65-75 quid, cant quite remember the price but a good battery is invaluable especially in this weather.
