    hi all as above anyone no of a comany that will come to my door and fit one..................no more cold car for me lol

    It won't work unless they can copy your rfid.

    The immobiliser transponder in your key that is read by the ignition barrel when you put the key n to start it.

    Plus fitting any sort of remote start system will invalidate and sort of Thatcham certification of the OEM and/or aftermarket alarm system. You will therefore have to inform your insurance company of this and you'll probably see a rise in your premium.

    so a clifford alarm is worse then a factory fit???? and for the sake off like £30 i dont care i dont like cold leather on my baby soft bum

    I'm not saying the Clifford is worse than factory fit.

    Your factory immobiliser is built into the car system and is therefore recognised by Thatcham. Disabling/rewiring/interfering with the factory immobiliser in ANY way will remove the certification as in theory your car is no longer as secure as it should be.

    And it's not just £30 is it......there's the cost of alarm plus fitting, which you would be looking at probably £400 at least, depending on how complex the job is.

    But as said above, unless they can program an RFID to immitate your key transponder then it won't work anyway.

    lol£30 to change insurance and heres were i looked as clifford web site is **** lol http://www.fitmystereo.com/motion_005.htm but as i sed my insurance sed clifford is better then factor fit and would be cheap on insurance this was a year ago nearly so maybe diffrent now.............so theres no way of a remote start unless factor fitted

    There must be something built in, or a switch to detect when in neutral.....Surely lol
