    Default getting harder to start

    this last few mornings the car has been hard to start its chuggin for about 20 seconds before it kicks over, could it be the heater pluge (think thats what they are) if so are they dear to buy and how many would i need, is it an easy job to do youself as DIY stands for Destroy it yourself for me
    its a 2005 CDTI

    hi m8 do you wait till the coil light gos out??? and with your -9 temp could be oil thick and not letting it turn over. and glow pugs are easy to do but make sure you heat car up 1st nice run not round the block and spray with wd40 few days before hand crack um off and go have cup of tea till they cool down and fit new ones

    never start the car till the coil light goes out thanks for the info i would have tried to take them out from a cold car

    lol ok......but yer cold car bad move nice and hot like hot hot as easyer and dont wanna say it but must be careful as they like to snap so iv read on here but hot car crack um off go have cup of tea come back fit new set done

    £9.99 each from local auto factor ( best to replace all 4) - i priced them up yesterday as mine have had it aswell

    Should it fire in to life by a flick of the key or turn over a couple of times before starts because mine tends to turn over a couple times then starts would you replace the glow plugs yes or no
