Front foglights but no swith on dash

I bought a 04 CDTi 120 last week. I suspect it has had a new bumper fitted at some time. There are fog lights on the bumber and a connector near the outside temp snsor. I can't find any switch inside the car to turn them on.
My car is 04 cdti club. I'm not sure if club came with front fogs as standard.
I am concerned when it comes to MoT time.

Front fogs aren't part of the MOT test, unless there is broken glass that could cause injury to the public.

Pretty sure a Club model won't have front fogs as standard. Parkers website lists what's standard and extra equipment. If there is a switch, it'll be next to the rear fog light one.

You could try taking a bulb out of one and see if it gives you a bulb warning on the dash. If there is a warning then maybe the switch has been replaced for one without the front fog button.

The front fog switch, sits on top of the rear fog light switch (on the left side of the light switch panel)

Club definately would not have front fogs as standard

Are there any other "odd" switches on the dash, as it was common practice to wire the front fogs in in the old fashioned way, via a relay etc...

It may also be that the front fogs will come on with the rears... again using the rear fog circuit as a trigger /switch for the fronts.

Either way, I would expect to see extra wiring and possibly a relay somewhere near or inside the battery box in the engine bay.

Our Club - a 55 reg Facelift with the Z18Xe petrol engine did not have fog lamps fitted as standard...I've fitted genuine VX ones into the standard non sport front bumper fitted to out car.

And while yours is the pre facelift and you have fog lamps fitted to the front bumper...my post on what I did may be of interest.... no extra fog lamp switch..no Tech2...etc..etc...if you want to pwer 'em up....
