Plenty of people "aren't all there" lol - when I was a claims manager a customer reckoned her 5 year old Renault Espace was still worth what she paid for it when she bought new - she just couldn't understand "depreciation". Also, I had a Cav Mk3 in the 1990's, then my neighbour bought one as well (both of them were saloons), and one day he tells me he's glad he bought "the bigger one" than I had. You mean the engine size, I asked? No, it's just a bigger car physically. Derrrrrrrr

Z20NET 2.0T, Mods done so far: Fitted EGR valve, replaced inlet manifold with swirl valve version. Mods to do: Fit DPF (PPF, by the time it's fitted)
funny,
I must admit that my first experience of a large diesel was a Laguna 1.9 DTI ('T' reg) and I was impressed, a total of 105 bhp and was a world apart from the Astra 59bhp 1.4 LS that I ran at the time.....but compared to the CDTI 150 Vectra.....it's not in the same league.
Your experience is similar to mine with a colleague who runs a BMW 316D, he swears it's quicker than mine. Trouble is he is comparing his 316D with his previous clapped-out Discovery that spent more time in the garage than on the road.

I disagree Leguna's are great cars for seeing the world!
Just think the amount of garages, dealerships and laybys that you miss out on seeing!
