    Default Still got cold air!!!!

    Anyone else had this?

Engine gets warm quick so thermostat ok, pipes going into heat exchanger get hot (too hot to touch after running for 10 mins), air mixer servo is working OK, have manually moved air mixer to check full extent of travel is ok. Still getting lukewarm air at best through vents, could there be some sort of air lock in the heat exchanger? If there is, how do I bleed it?

Please, please help me. I travel an hour to work at 5:30am and its freezing!!!

The vectra does seem to take ages to get the heat into the car. But if you want to bleed the cooling system, I disconect the highest coolent pipe, but put the heater controls on hot first. I travel to work at 5.30am too, and my car is still cold by the time I have done my 2.5 miles to work. So there is a good chance your car is "normal".

I would have thought in these conditions that would be about right, 2.5 miles isn't very far to warm up really.

If it was only 2.5 miles, I wouldn't complain, but after 50 miles I have still only got lukewarm air. I have to scrape ice off the inside!!!

Hi all new member here First post. Problem will probably be if you turn the heater control it does not move the valve on heater unit, So remove glovebox 5 torx screws 2min job look at side of heater and you will see a red lever pull it up and hey presto hot air reason for this is underneath this lever is a control arm that can break off the unit causing it to fall down to the cold position remember if you pull it up with heater control on hot it will work until someone turns the heat control to cold then you will have to do it all again until you can fix the broken part on heater.
