    Went over to Millbrook this morning and drove the new Vauxhall Ampera (although it was left hand drive which is tricky to adjust to!) - and I must say I was very impressed! instant acceleration, no noise (other than road noise), and you could hardly tell when the petrol engine started up (either from noise or from the way it drove!)

    not so sure about the rear headroom (ended up with my head near the boot glass, but wasn't too bad considering!)

    will be interesting to see the final production version - only 12 months or so to wait until I get some through before the launch!

    Great technology, the downside is that it's going to be pretty expensive though, even after the £5k government subsidy. GM say the MKII will be significantly cheaper, maybe I'll wait for that one...lol.
