A catch tank is perfectly possible, but according to some, it doesn't actually catch any oil! What's going on there I wonder?

Here's the original post. I have put one (sort of) in mine and vent to atmos, the intake is cleaning up after 34,000miles of crud, slowly the intake stream is drying out.
It is in my mind a worthwhile mod' and one that my local dealer approved of too![]()
I know, from some of the other topics that have been "discussed",from time to time, there has been some slight disaccord with other members, but on the whole, some of the "discussions" have had some benefit in them in the end, and, whether they have been relevant to the topic at the time, the content of some of them has been very enlightening,to say the least.
I hope you continue to try and "educate" us with your opinions/information,and look forward to reading your views on any further forthcoming topics which catch your attention. FELIXX.![]()
The catch can is ok providing you keep a close eye on it as you don't want it filling up and blocking the breather and as I found out I got alot of condensation in the tank mixed with oil and formed sludge so that's why I went to vent to armosphere I check every week on the pipe and make sure it's clear and not once in 6months has it blocked up and still going strong with no negative effects and even the remapper commenting saying that's a good mod to reduce intake temps and draw just fresh air and not mixin with smoke and oil vapour
