Default Climate Control Problems (Damn Snow!!!!)

    Hi folks,

The snow over the weekend has taken its toll on my car, 55 plate 2.2 Vectra C........

I was in east yorkshire for the weekend, didnt move the car from thursday until today, hopped into this morning, firedup the engine and low and behold no heating.......

Straight away i knew what the issue was going to be, leaned over lifted the passenger footwell mat and the carpet was wet, opened up the pollen filterarea and the drainage hole had completely forzen solid, it was like a giant icicle.......

Iv'e cleared that away and then went straight into look for the resistor everyone falls victim to, but i didnt realise the climate control doesnt have the resistor....... so i had to suffer a ****** cold drive back down to london

Has anyone any suggestions on how to get the climate control up and running again? I reached in and gave the fan a turn it spins freely and occassionaly would spin itself up while the engine was running.

sounds like a new climate module if I remember what I have read. Unlike the standard heating resistor which is a 79p fix I gotta feeling its a whole new module £120ish.

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...+module&page=2 explains a bit more

Cheers mate, i eventually found infomation about it in a long thread about the resistor issue, phoned about 25 scrapy's on google, on the very last one i managed to locate a mint one with the blower moter for 50 sheets..... pure fluke!!!!

Has anyone figured out a way to maybe improve the draingage in that area or maybe waterproof the area between the corrugated pollen filter and the cars interior soundproofing???

It's completely soaked so im going to have fun with towels drying that out over the winter!!!!
