As title, my coolant light has come on, i've topped the expansion bottle up but the light and check coolant warning are still there.
In the expansion tank there's something floating around, should this be connected to something.

There is a float sensor in the tank so it could gave come off and is now giving you your warning.

old post i know, sold the car now 06 sri. Still got my 54 reg sxi.
Took off the coolant sensor plug and bridged the two terminals with a short piece of wire, plugged back in light off. I was selling it on so ok for me.
