What do i need?

I have a 2.2dti SXi 2003.

The display unit only shows clock, radio etc. What i would like is the computer you guys have that shows miles per gallon and miles left in the tank etc.

What do i need to do exactly to achieve this?

I have read lots of articles about gid and all that, but it only confused me more

You should have it already.

On the end of the right stalk (the one that operates your wipers and washers), you have 3 buttons. Button Nº 1 (see photo) opens the menu and acts as an 'ok' button, button number 2 scrolls up through the menu and button number 3 scolls down.



To select what info you want to display on the main menu (range, mpg etc..) scroll to the desired item then click button 1 to confirm the selection. Then scroll down to the bottom right of the screen to the RETURN option and click button Nº 1 again to exit back to the normal screen.

Not on an '03 SXi he wont.

You need to do a TID (Triple Info Display) to GID (Graphical Info Display) upgrade and fit the stalk with the BC (Board computer) controls as shown above. It will also need Tech2'ing into the car to work correctly.

Full details are in a thread in the howto section. I did my old SXi saloon following the instructions in the thread and it worked perfectly.

Nope i don't have that stalk, no buttons on the end for me

Gonna try and get this done as i do a lot of miles and the mpg info is much needed.
