Hadn't noticed this before as it's rarely cold enough, but mine did exactly the same this morning. Normally get in the car and start it and there's an ice warning if it's less than 3 degrees. This morning, -6 showing on the screen, no ice warning lol

    Check control enabled and
    BC turned off / disabled.

I have the warning triangle with snow flake and warning about slippery road surface.

My Vectra has the same manner, and it is quite logical.
It is not that slippery when it is very cold, as it is around 0°C (+3°C...-4°C).
So, if you start in very cold and if the temperature then rises during the driving distance, the warning will also show up when the temperature has rised to -4°C.

I have noticed that mine will not "flag up" the tempreture when it is below -5. Don,t know why it doesn,t "flag up" though.

With my alternative programmer, the ICE crystal warning is turned on and off via the code index...

Dependent upon the programming device, the code index will be listed with options

    With or without add-on heater

    with or without Ice warning

with or without board computer (BC)

Check control is in variance configuration.

    My unit has
    BC - disabled
    Check Control -enabled
    Ice Warning - enabled
    Add-On Heater - disabled / not present
