    Default Weird ice warning problem

    Been monitoring this over the past few days during the cold weather

    if the outside temp is between 3 and -4 i get the ice warning saying caution slippy roads and the snowflake sign but if the temp is below -4 it doesnt give the warning just the normal temp display in the corner its -10 this morning and no warning and at -6 the other day no warning

    any ideas ????

    by the way its a 06 Facelift CDTi 150 with Nav and CID

    Not sure buddy mine seems to work it was -5 the other day and warning popped up
    Not sure if there's a setting in variant coding that you can alter.

    well might not be -4 just never had it at -5 , but it was -14 this morning and no ice warning or the other day it was -7 and still no ice warning but i get the warning at -4

    I noticed this with mine when it was minus 6.5 the other morning, but no warning?

    Temperature hasn't been that low here to see, mine shows the warning down to -3.5c which is as cold as it's registered so far, will have to keep an eye to see if mine does the same

    Maybe the assumption by Vx is that you won't need a warning below -4,

    because they probably assume that the 4 inch thick layer of ice on the windscreen is a give-away.

    I got the ice crystal at -7 this morning

    However, dependent upon which programmer you use,

    Some code index values show "with ice warning" and "without ice warning"..

    Others show with and without BC and
    others show with and without add-on heater.

    maybe some of these indexes have a value for max and min warning temperatures...

    If outside temperature drops to 3 °C, the icy road surface warning message appears on the display. No message is displayed if the temperature is less than -5 °C.
