2.2 engine rattle help please

Hi guys my friend has a astra 2.2l it has only done 36000 Starred to rattle by the cam chain am I right in telling him it may be the chain tensioner **If so Is it a big job and££££y job to do thanks again guys

From what I read on this forum it sounds like the cam chain is being starved of oil (i believe) and is a common fault on this engine.

Rushy is you best bet for any advice with this engine m8.

hi mate if its the chain benny on here is the chain man lol give him a pm for a price or go on to vvoc and look for appy he fixes the chains also they will prob do it way cheaper than the dealers
