    Default 12v feed

    Trying to get a live feed from the 12v socket (ciggy lighter) dont want to cut wires, could i connect the feed underside of the 12v socket, trying to get out but it wont move, any ideas anyone, how to remove and how to attach the live feed.

    hold a fag lighter to the wire, soften it up then pull the insulation off. wrap the end round the 12v feed then tape it up. or go to halfords and get one of them crimping connectors or whatever they are called?

    They're a right pain to remove. I've still got a new one waiting to be fitted. But if you remove the ashtray, ashtray lid, gear stick trim + leather and the cubby hole under the heater controls it'll give you more room. You could solder, scotch lock or use a piggy back spade connector.

    another way is to push wires into plugs and tape up

    does the piggy back spade connector just crimp onto the black wire running from the ciggy lighter and then i just connect the red wire from my quadlock loom

    If you use the type below then you crimp your extra wire into the connector then fit it between the cig socket and the black wire.
