headlights control panel backlight not working :/

Hi there, where you put your headlights on , my control bit backlight is not working!

ALSO

What does it do when you press the button in?

Any ideas?

And if its a change the bulb situation how do I do it as on my Astra MK4 it wasn't the easier job as it was solder in

Ive check the fuses by the passenger there are all okay :/ - I think the last time they were working was just before I put my sony cd player in!

oh sorry, no the headlights work fine and so do all the switches,

Im talking about the backlight of the switches

- it use to light up like the centre console dash and now it doesn't??

if you twist the button with the speedo on it it dims the lights have you had a look at that?

Yeah I have all of the other lights illuminate - heater/display/steering wheel and speedo clocks, its just the ones where you control your headlights no longer light up

this part doesn't light up anymore - it works perfectly though just no light!

if switches are working then at guess the small bulb or led ( or whatever is behind there ) has died

either that or a wire has come loose?

I'd take the part out and check wiring / connectors first

Took it apart earlier..after figuring out how to take it out! (In my Astra MK4 you were unable to remove that part easily) and the bulb has gone so I'll just get a new one of those tomorrow from slaters!

OK , I take it you have just bought this light switch , if so there is a difference between pre 2004 and post 2004 switches , they look identical but work differently. I am also presuming the only illumination you have is behind the main switch only.
