crd2 fitting help

i cant get this to work on my car, after connecting the loom and blanking plug my car wont even start at all, ive followed the instructions provided. what am i doing wrong?

Just be a faulty box? Its just plug and play,Unless you have bent a pin on the fuel rail? My connector was a tight fit and felt like it was catching the pins.

if you have the loom with blanking plug (i.e. no box connected) then it must be a faulty loom, or one that's not intended for your car. Did you buy new or 2nd hand?

well as soon as i take this loom off and put everything back it starts first time.

got it off ebay, guy had it on an astra 1.9 cdti 150

I had a CRD2 on a 3.0 a few years ago.That had an intermittent fault which turned out to be a poor connection within the loom supplied with the box.

Might be worth contacting the original supplier as you may need different loom for the vec (at a cost of course). The one I had was made (or imported, not sure) by DTUK. They are a very friendly helpful bunch.

the instructions state it is for vectra 1.9 cdti 150 aswell so it has to be the right loom?

sorry mate, no idea if the vect & astra 1.9 have the same wiering or not. But if you are connecting the loom & putting the blank in rather than the box & it still won't start you either have a faulty loom, broken pin in fitting, or it's the wrong loom for the vec.
