help heater blower motor

i have an 03 vectra 1.8 ls the blower only works on speed 4 the demist button works but other speeds dont work any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Sounds to me like its the speed control resistor unit near the fan motor,the fan is fed 12 volts and runs at full speed and the resistor brings the power input down to lower the fan speed,if the resistor stops working then the fan will just run at full speed.

Its the resistor mate down at the blower in the passenger footwell. Its a bit fiddly but easy enough to change and cheap to buy. iirc its about 15 - 20 quid from the stealers.
