    Default Help with codes please..

    Hi all, engine man light came on yesterday, first time in 18mnths.
    Did a read using throttle/brake method, came up with
    0402
    0170

    Done a few searches on codes but can't find anything
    car is 54 reg 1.8 full canbus.
    Any help would be apreciated.

    ok had no replies, found codes.
    0170 fuel trim bank 1.
    0420 cat system below threshold.
    gonna clean throttle body, change plugs, clean air flow meter, ordered u480 code reader to clear codes and see what happends.

    How are you cleaning your airflow meter? Didn't think it was wise to touch them, but I've heard of people giving them a blast with electrical contact cleaner.
