    Default Recommended Socket Set

Can someone recommend me a good socket set?

I am after something that will be able to tackle most jobs and be robust enough to last.

Not looking at spending silly money, but understand you get what you pay for!

Been looking on ebay and halfords etc... Seen some for around the £50 mark, but no idea how they fair up in terms of quality.

    Cheers
    Aidi

Halfords have a lifetime warranty IIRC?

I've been using a Kamasa set for years, Halfords Professional are reckoned to be ok.

I'm pretty sure mine has the 7mm allen key - in the small plastic box, not in the main set of keys.

I have a stanley set that my dad had and then gave to me. It's about 15 years old and barring one broken socket it is absolutly superb

Been using the same Stanley socket set for about 30 years now, with a few additions and replacing a couple of lost items.
As said you get what you pay for, but you still can't abuse them either.
    3.2 v6 Signum and loving it 😁

44 Piece. I'm positive you can find these easily in England.

As for the stanley set my dads has. I doubt they'd have that on a website. He's had it roughly 25 years.
