    Default One to me.......

First time I brought the Vec home, all one of the neighbour Trained mechanic" lads had to say was not "nice car" or "what spec" but just "rattles badly on start up compared to dad's(petrol)".
Every motorbike he has, he fiddles with, then it runs lumpy, doesn't like starting. You can imagine what it's been like recently, he's had to jumplead it off his dad's car, and, once started, even in -11, revs the t1ts off it.
Just been out to drop my wife's flat tyre off for repair./investigation, he was trying to jump start his bike when I left, still trying when i came back, so when he looked up I commented "my diesel may rattle when it fires up but it always starts"

They blame us for that, when we moved in, they told us they were used to parking (3 cars and 3 bikes, one parking space) most of their cars on our front, and "assumed" it would be ok to carry on. I explained we needed parking for our own two cars, so no.
Xmas 2008, mid december, they told us a new motorbike was an Xmas prezzy, could they keep it in our attached garage, free of charge, for a couple of weeks. We agreed, and gave them the spare key. The following April, after repeated requests for them to shift it, and return the key, Wendy sent them formal notice to move it or lose it. So now it's out in the weather.
Next thing, when Wendy had a new (used) car coming, they asked to park a metro "for a few hours" where she parks one Friday.
I agreed, provided it WAS only for a few hours, and it wasn't preventing her getting her car in/out.
They stuck a Renault Megane smack in the middle, and left it there till Sunday night. She had no option but block it in, no space left, and left a message to knock and she'd move her car. Instead they shunted it back out of the way, damaging the front bumper (and risking the autobox) which I had to fix before she could part ex it mid week. Nice bunch.

Living up to your username!! lol

We have similar problems with parking but only because some idiot allowed a nursery to open and operate in a residential area. Now we get all the mum's blocking our spaces, even though the planning was approved on the condition the cars picking up / dropping off the kids parked in the HUGE car park across the road.

And our neighbour has visitors regularly who take our space but park in a way we cannot get in at all.

Good come back about the bike too, bets he was left seeing red and had nothing to come back with!! Love it!

We have same problems with parking, we live in some country cottages that front onto farmers field therefore we have no parking in front of houses. We have to park on the main village road and if every was considerant then we could all park with no problems but a lot of them take up 2 parking places because they cannot reverse into any parking spaces thus halfing the amount of spaces grrrrrr

I'm actually fairly easy going, but I don't have much patience with buerocracy or idiots (often the same) - or people extracting the urine, and this lot, with one space, 3-4 cars and several bikes, with visitors, take up 3 houses parking their side of the road - as their right. Fair enough, if the other houses don't object, narrow street, everyone parks one side, except us, we have a long front patio and grass area.
I get annoyed "grumpy" when they expect, as their right, to use our garage and disabled parking, forcing us to park at bottom of street or have our cars rammed out of way.
I bet, after icy weather/snow and today's rain, if the lad reset his timing etc to standard, and sprayed some WD40 or similar on his HT leads, it'd start. They've made it clear that I know nothing compared to their 6 months at college, so I just watch and laugh.

Disabled parking? Have you got it marked out on the road?

Markj23, they work just around the corner, no way am I using them lol.
RobW, not marked in road, no room for this side parking in road, disabled adapted bungalow and parking on our frontage in front of bedroom and kitchen, the reason we were given bungalow was we're both disabled. They seem to think disabled = unable to protest and capable of being taken advantage of.
Been thinking on the lines of super soaker full of brake fluid if I ever find it's them tampering with our tyres.......
