Default Signum towbar with twin electrics

From reading other posts on this forum it seems that the Vx towbar is the one to go for. Can someone tell me if it is still neccessary to run a cable to the battery(for fridge in caravan) or if both sockets plug in to existing connectors at the rear of the car.
    Thanks.

Sounds quite easy to fit then - do you need to remove the bumper?
Dont know if I like the idea if drilling holes in my new car though - are the drilling positions marked on the car?

Bumper has to come off and you will need to drill a few pre-marked holes. Dead easy job though, took me about2.5hours start to finish.

You do not have to take the bumper off on the Signum.

I have the Witter Quantum detachable bar. So easy to fit, just 4 holes to drill and use the genuine VX electrics - they just plug in. Tech 2 cost £12 at my dealers. The Witter detachable is much easier to use compared with Brink. The towball swan neck fits and removes without effort and can be key locked in place. A lock is extra on some bars.

Towequipe seem to be the cheapest for the bar.

I don't think you can much easier to use than the Vauxhall bars.

I have to agree with Matt, how can removing a blank plate, inserting a key and inserting the bar be difficult and to remove the reverse.
Takes less than a minute to install, remove the VX detachable towbar.

On Vectra C you don't even have a bumper blank plate to remove, just pull out the plug and fit the ball!!!
