Default Next years quotes, here they come

The first of the quotes for my car insurance have arrived by email

I was expecting them to be ridiculously expensive, what with all the hyle in the media recently

This years current premium - £610

The AA - £408 plus £35 for legal cover
Last year they quoted £685 plus £20 for legal cover

    Is there a prize?

I have been £206 for the last couple of years. FC, me and the Mrs (32 and 27) and 20k miles per year.

I suppose there are some benefits of an IV postcode!!

I have never ever had an even semi decent quote from the AA, and thats even considering Ive been a member with them for over 10 years now too.

This is the largest drop I have ever seen from just a quote in advance on a like for like basis
Normally they are silly numbers or similar to my current premium

The cheapest I ever had was living in Aberdeen, about £800 before NCD
On moving to Glasgow City Centre it increased to £1900 before NCD

Lol. I had a letter saying they believed my renewal was due, they could save me up to £295. As mine went up because of the Omega incident, anything under £350 would be good, so I asked for a quote - £847 fully comp with spouse, only £300 MORE than I'm paying now!

Not really, depends on the underwriter and what commision the seller wants to make
During quotes that are quite similar I always look to see who the underwriter is
