    Default Car mats

Had a set of "tailored" mats from ebay last year and they now need replacing as they keep bunching up, not paying irmscher prices so what would people recommend.
Especially in these conditions do others go for rubber rather than carpet?

was looking at these from tesco http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-7303.aspx as they seem heavy duty and good price, anyone else used them. i know they won't be exact fit, and we all now universal means it sorts of fits some cars. Anyone else currently using them?

I bought some universal mats for my CDXi (GSi) and they kept bunching up, slipping, and the plastic foot cover on the drivers side disintegrated quicker than the dealership mats. I think i'll be shelling out for irmy mats or import some from VX.

    Good luck mate.

Bite the bullet and get a set of proper Vx ones, they fit well and clip down, clips come with them if you don't have them already.

Yup, they look like the ones I bought, but mine came from dealer. If OP car doesn't have the fitted clips several on here have spares sets, or may come with mats.

I bought the rubber fitted ones from the stealers over a year ago and they hardly look worn. Better for the winter conditions but dont look as nice as carpet ones!

I bought the genuine ones when i got the car (2006), weren't cheap (£50 for the set) but definitely a good buy. They still look new.
