Warm water or hot urine also is free and works as we found out this week, The urine does a good job on the locks but were gloves.

Screenwash and de-icer does'nt crack/shatter your windscreen on the other hand warm water does

Oh and on the topic of Urine, personally I find it had to spray it on the windscreen at 50mph without spraining something's dis-jointing others and getting frostbite in even others
