Hi Guys,

I hope you all can help!

My father in law is stuck in Dublin, and his flight cancelled until Saturday evening!

The only option is to get on the ferry to Birkenhead near Liverpool. It arrives at 6am tomorrow so I am going to leave Leicester tonight and stay in a travel lodge somewhere.

Can you guys out there tell me what the weather is like along the the following route.

A50 from M1 J24 up to Stoke
M6 Up to Cheshire
M56 to Chester
M53 to Birkenhead?

M6 not good in Staffs, but M53 and M56 ok so far.

Right then, I am leaving tonight at about 6.30pm to 7pm and stay in a premier lodge in Ellesmere Port, I shouldnt be far away from the ferry port.

I'm minutes away from the ferry terminal in birkenhead (new brighton). It's fine here.

Think chester has had some snow but as said earlier its nowhere near as bad as other areas in UK. Once again, if you're stuck or need more info, PM us.

I reckon you'll be no more than 15-20 mins away, if that, assuming the weather stays similar to what it is now.
