Bulbs going out and then coming back on????

As per title really.............I've had numerous bulb warning lights on my vec today,front parking light,rear parking light and rear brake light.When i've checked ,the bulbs have gone out but after turning off the car and then restarting it the bulbs are back on and the warning messages are gone.

Does my car just not like the cold or is something more sinister afoot?

Take them out and clean the contacts first

Its free so worth a try. Check all the multiplugs etc too.

Forgot to ask before,what should i clean them with?

Fine wet and dry, emery cloth, small wire brush. Anything to remove any oxidation on the contact areas.

Yep, give them a rub with some fine wet and dry and a wipe with some nail polish remover to get any dust and grease off.

I used to have lots of these false warnings.

I have just about replaced every bulb in the car (even ones that were working) in at attempt to resolve the issue. My car was like close encounters at times

It finally stopped when I replaced both my dipped beam bulbs for better ones

Right,i've tried cleaning the contacts but i'm still getting an intermitent bulb failure warning for the drivers side front and rear parking lights.Funny thing is though when i get this warning i get out of the car and give the offending lights a quick thump and they come back on????

Any ideas what the problem could be as its starting to get under my skin?
