Does this look like the right filter??

Now this is probably going to sound daft to you lot, but its the first time i have seen an oil filter like this!

Have i got the correct filter?

I know the guy who served me at looker knows what hes doing (and gave me 25% off my fully sinth oil ) but i am just having doubts

Yeah looks right, they're just a cartridge type inside the filter housing. When you take the old one out you should be able to match it up by eye to see if they're the same.
