hi all about three months back i upgraded my alloys from the standard elegance 16" to 225/35/19 i have had no problems at all although the ride seems to be a bit harder over pot-holes, some threads seem to state that it is not reccomended, any clarification would be appreciated.

The recommended tyre size is 235/35/19 not 225, but you should have no issues if you use the right tyre size.
You can have your dealer tell the cars ECU, via tech2, that is is running 19's, this will ensure all readings, speedo, fuel computer, ABS, TC, etc, are all accurate.
