Seatbelt warning buzzer

Should I have a warning buzzer sound if I start without the seatbelt fastened.

some models have this but i think it has to be tech 2'd to activate it,

The light on my dash flashes but I have no beep (unless I drive away as i've found when garaging the car)

Both my 07 plate an 08 plate never, neither did my mates or my wee brother 56 plate

my 03 plate 2.2 sri 150 had the warning buzzer and my 04 plate cdti sri 120 had a flashing light like john's ?

my 03 has it none of the 3 i had before had it
can it be turned off or pluged out

I think it was dropped on the facelift, standard on pre-facelift.

My 53 reg Elegance didn't have the seat belt warning light or buzzer, so definately not standard on the pre-facelift.
