    Default fuel pipe split.....cdti

    just had my rubber hose fuel pipe that sits at the top/back of the engine bay split, has anyone ever replaced this pipe ???? easy job ???? i know it just clips out of the top of the filter but where do's it unclip/comeoff from the other end ???

    Hi Mark
    it runs under the bulkhead to a quick release coupling under the car floor pan,there are a few clips to unbolt on the bulkhead,
    you also have to uncouple solenoid valve bracket from air cleaner housing,and wiring harness from plug from mass air flow meter.REMEMBER FUEL ESCAPES.

    I had the same problem earlier this year, two pin hole leaks made a mess .

    Got a lenght diesel fuel hose of correct bore then cut off the steel collers holding the original rubber hose to the plastic tubes then fitted new hose with double jubilee clips each end (overkill).

    Works fine no more leaks and the replacement hose is thick wall so will bend without kinking.

    Hi Brian, what size of fuel hose did u order? ( internal bore size) currently have same issue with vectra c 1.9 cdti 8v, just wanting to do what you have done. Thanks in advance
