2.2 Direct Major engine fault!!

The other day my car was being driven along normally anyway at a set of light it started misfiring on Cylinder 2 turned it off for around 1 hour and started it back up all was fine but still had the engine management light on.

3 days later after all was fine it happend again a first I thought it was coilpack or spark plugs changed both and problem still there but this time its not going away.

After closer inspection there looks like oil or petrol running over the shield on the exhaust manifold also had alook on the floor and its dripping out.

I am now thinking the Head Gasket has gone so took it to work and have now just had a compression test and all 4 Cylinders are coming back with 225 PSI so there all fine.

Any Ideas its going on the ramps at 12 but im at a loss now it cant be anything to do with the ecu can it becuase its leaking oil/petrol out well i think its petrol anyway.

how do you know it was number 2 have you ever had a fuel pressure sensor change

could it be the hp fuel pump thats went and leaking petrol in to the engine? make sure all the pipes are ok no splits and the injectors are not leaking at the o ring seals and the fuel presure regulator isnt leaking at its seal

Found the problem cracked head!!!!!

If anyone knows were I can get a Head from it would be appreciated as Im having no luck.

Seen one on Ebay for 650 but I can buy a 2.0 turbo engine for 750 and try and make that fit.

650 is a stupid price for a head

yip its way ott mate i seen that on the bay there is also a full engine for £650 or there abouts some times they can repair a crack in a head mate have you had a word with some of the firms that do the skimming etc?
