Yesterday morning......

Yesterday morning..... My car struggled to start and I had to drive to work with no instruments.

Last night I mail ordered a new Type 065 Varta battery (as my car has a larger battery than it apparently should? (vx branded 240x190x175 55ah instead of type 063 200x175x175 44ah) )

This morning... click, click, click, my car won't start

I can't decide if im lucky or unlucky

Time for some online gaming me thinks, before the missus finds out

About Vectra size

It's a 1.8 pre-facelift, the current battery is a GM 12v 55AH, it's 240x190x175mm

Recommended for my car seems to be the type 063 which is 12v 44AH, 212x175x175mm and obviously this is smaller+inferior the the original battery.

I've ordered a Varta type 065 which is 12v 54AH, 242x175x175mm, it's the same performance and fittings, BUT 15mm lower.

I could fit an even bigger battery in there as it's the same battery tray across all Vec C's. The myth about it damaging the starter/alternator is just that, a myth.
