I've done around 7000 miles in my 3.0 Signum and I've averaged 34.6mpg overall. 6 speed manual and I never drive slow
If you had the 3.2V6 petrol you would get no where near the figures you have got...
Sounds like a VERY good figure Benny, especially for an Auto ... mine is a manual hatchback and I have never seen more than 45

45 mpg from a V6 auto?
Na, you probably aren't doing the readings properly mate, takes 80+ miles before the true reading starts to emerge, mid 30's tops IMO.
i did aprox 110 miles the guage is reading that i only used a quarter of a tank (i know it is only a rough guide) ill take some pics of the read outs tomorrow and post em up..... im going on a small run to aberdeen soon ill see what i get then .... unless its my driveing style my old vec b 2.2 petrol was really good on fuel (see pic)
this was the best i ever got from her on my normal run to aberdeen she usally run about the 420--460 mark this must have been a good day of course if booted around town she would give me 280 to a tank ....

Now I am doing (fast) motorway miles which the car munches up quite happily I am getting between 450 and 480ish to a tank which I am very happy with No where near what I got in my 2.2Dti but then the power of my 2.2 was no where near that of the V6
