CDTi 150 intermittent running problems

Hi, I'm having a few problems at the moment, I have tried to search but haven't found anything,
The car seems to run ok some of the time but sometimes it feels a bit jerky, I sometimes get the limp mode for a couple of seconds, the spanner light comes on sometimes, I've noticed that when I use the cruise control it doesn't seem to be a smooth ride. I know that the dual mass flywheel is on it way out but don't know if this is the cause.
I'm having to sell the car soon and don't want to sell it with a load of problems, any idea on what is the problem?!

The 3 major things it could be based on what you are saying:

- 3rd injector wiring requires upgrading.

- EGR valve is not functioning properly

- Throttle Positioning Sensor is faulty due to possible broken solder joints within the Throttle body.

Get the codes read first!!!! It will point you in the correct direction. Also have a look in the How2 section m8 for guidance.

How did you have them read? Code reader or Op-Com (dealer)

My mate works at a garage and connected it up to a laptop, not sure what program it was using.

The throttle issue on mine was 'not present' when I had the ECU read by Op Com. But the code was logged.

He told me that the codes may have cleared themselves, but with it being an intermittent problem it never seems to appear when he drives it.

I would be inclined to say injector loom or throttle body. To see if you have the upgraded injector plug, take the engine vanity cover off and oif the injector plugs are yellow they need done - well really on the 3rd one.
