Signs of a worn gearbox?

Evening.

Coming home from Chester today I noticed that when accelerating moderately in third and I go to change gear, it's very 'springy' coming out. Like it's on the verge of popping out on its own. I'm guessing this is signs of a slightly worn gearbox? Would a fluid change help it out?

Sounds more like the selector mechanism needs realigning, rather than worn internal parts.

Cheers for that, that's not something I have any knowledge of so I'll get a garage to check that out.
