The tailgate is rust free Swapped it for a good second hand one a couple of months back, the 17 year old one, was looking a bit worse for wear! A chunk of rust fell off every time you shut it

Haha that sounds about right, I used to get loads of people wanting prices on a new one but for some strange reason no one used to order them when you quote them about £800 for them

Its good to see one in such good nick, I'm guessing yours is the pre-facelift with the old square dash and not the later ones with the Disco 300 series dash?
