Whats the best car for a taxi

As to the heading whats the best car for a taxi just i have been thinking about it for some time and my mate does it and he loves it the money is not too bad too so can you chaps help me decide what car to go for i know the veccy is the fav but is there any others im only wanting to spend no more that 5k less than that really i have seen this but the other adverts say like 7,000 miles but its actually 70k i hate it when adverts do that

all the taxis round here are octavias mondeos and vectras, oh and peugeot 8 seaters. surely that says there good cars as taxis if all the drivers locally have them!

around here is prius for them green eco taxi's, vectra's, octavia's and toyota avensis's.

yeah i have been looking at veccys ... the skodas seem to be more expensive i aint looked at mondeo so ill have alook i want to try and get a car with good miles on

i always thought you got a lot more car with your money on the skodas, thought they were cheaper

Don't taxis have to be fairly new? that car is going to be 5 years old quite soon

I used to be a taxi driver mate, I loved it at first, but you soon get cheesed off with picking dirty, smelly, illmannered dropkicks up, and that's before they've had a drink. I had to pack it in or I'd of bought a gun and shot the ****ers. So think long and hard before you jump in. BTW I had a few differnt cars for taxi driving and I found the octavia the best. lol.

U should see the sheds they drive where I live! I some times wonder if it will get me home! Tho a second class ride is better than a first class walk!!!

to put a new taxi on that it has to be 5 years or less fact (or is down here) the reason you see old m regs and things is that car has bin a taxi all its life thats why
