Default PI springs 45mm or 30mm

hi all , new to the forum just bought a new gsi and shes needing dropped. i took her for a test drive and she felt rather high, so as i have never had a lowered car i thought i would ask for some opinions. i was considering the fk ak coilovers but have read that a few ppl have taken them off thru knocks, twangs, bangs, and bumps! so think i will give them a miss! but the pi springs seem to sound not to bad. my big problem is i dont know witch to get 30mm or 45mm. please help!!!!!

    Welcome mate,

I fitted 30mm eibachs to my Vec and the dropped it nicely. -45's are gonna be splitter scraping so it depends how often you have to go over speed bumps etc.

Nice to see another local on here

We've got far too much mate, we have tipper trucks taking the stuff away

I'm in Forfar by the way.

Oh and nice car, I saw it on the auto trader while GSi hunting

If you can stretch to a set of eibachs you won't be dissapointed mate

I just so happen to be one of those people with the FK coilovers, and yes they do make loads of noises on my car ( i reckon the car is too heavy for them).
I'm in the process of removing them as we speak and i have changed to PI 45mm springs, because you have large wheels i have found that the car will still sit high enough to clear the splitter (i hope).

Have a look at my piccys here http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123503
They were taken yesterday at work, fronts still have the coilovers on but the rear is standard shocks with the PI's.
